Has anyone seen the new soccer book - Portrait of Passion? www.portraitofpassion.com. It's the story of the USWNT players. It's got lots a cool game photos from the World Cup and great personal stories from the players. Look like it could be a cool thing.

I have not seen this book. It is a shame what happened to the women's team. I'm sure this is a great book to read. Professional athletes are a select few among us and books and videos like this allow us to see that they are regular people like you and I.

Yes, it may be a shame what happened to the team in the World Cup but I think ultimately made the team come together and become much stronger. As we can tell by the recent tournament play they seem to have reinvented themselves.

This is very true. The US will always have a strong side both men and women. The talent pool to choose from is huge now. I seems like the coaches are the ones who are messing things up in the end. They obviously know the game and know how to pick players, they just over analyze things and make bad decisions rather than letting the players do the work. Sampson, Arena, and Ryan go crazy with all the pressure and forget what got them in the position they were in coming into the tournament.

All this is very true. Looks like the level of play by the ladies is very high at the Algarve Cup. They seem to be mowing down the competition.
